Medical Emergency

I broke down and took the hamster to the vet....not just a regular vet an EMERGENCY ROOM vet. She was looking really bad last night and I don't know about you but I can't just go about my business while something dies. So I put her in her roller ball and in the middle of a severe thunderstorm I took her to the animal hospital. They think she has an upper respitatory infection....so they gave me an antiboitic that I am to give her twice daily and I am suppose to find unpasturized yogurt somewhere and feed that to her. So after work its to the health food stores I go. Do you want to know how much the little visit cost me? 103.00 dollars! When I called them they said 63.00 for the exam....so I thought hey thats a little high but I can swing it....so when the "doctor" is examing Mimi (thats the hamster) - he notices that her teeth are really long so he says he needs to drill them down....that alone cost me $40.00 - for 3 teeth!!!!! I think they should have their prices listed on a sign as you go in - like Snip and Clip does. I didn't want the hamster groomed I just didn't want it to die. So anyway, I gave Mimi medicine last night before I went to bed and again this morning before I went into work. The only high point to the whole evening was the Vet was cute. He wasn't 103.00 cute, but he was cute. Other then that my evening was pretty uneventful.

If something else happens I will put another entry in.
