Accidental Tourist

The book "Accidental Tourist" is my bible. I fell in love with it before the movie was even made, and even though the movie was good, the book was better. Anne Tyler has a way of storytelling that seems so easy and effortless. I go back and read it from time to time when I feel especially discouraged about something, or afraid. I've read other books she has written but that one, by far is the best one that I've read. The thing is about favorite things that touch us, is that no one else is meant to get it. Lets say you go read the Accindental Tourist, chances are you won't like it, or you'll think its okay, but it won't make you feel the way I do about it. and thats okay. I used to get pissed off at people when they didn't like the same music, or writers that I did. But now I get it. We are not suppose to...if we all liked the same things who would we be able to mock for their inferior taste?
