Happy Columbus Day!

I work for a bank so I'm suppose to have this day off but I came in to make up some of the time I've missed with my Mom being sick and all.
As a matter of fact later on this afternoon I have to take her to a doctor appointment. She just got out of the hospital yesterday and she is really tired. They've put her on two new kinds of medicines and hopefully they will help until she has her heart surgery. I am both anticipating and dreading the surgery. The anticipation comes from wanting her to feel better and the dread comes from what may happen to her during surgery.
But I can't think like that now....plus I am way too tired to process any kind of anxiety efficiently today.

I wonder if they would count this as a work day if I just laid on the floor of my office and slept?

I am thinking not.
