daringtobe's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Released Jury Duty is not fun. I have never made friends or had memorable experiences during my Jury Duty serviceand I have been called to serve at least six times. You would think in the six times I was summoned (one of them was to a federal courthouse) that I would be picked for some juicy trial. I have served on one and it was the most mind numbingly boring event in my entire life, that and watching The Piano. Its funny to watch other people at Jury Duty. The ones that try to get out of itthe others that bring their laptops and cell phones and try and look important and busy. I was one of the people that read Glamour magazine and tried not to fall out of my seat when I fell asleep. And I listened to my IPOD and it took every once of strength not to sing out loud. I was released yesterday when I my name wasnt called for any of the jury panels. I am immensely happy about that. 9:03 a.m. - March 08, 2005 ******************************* |
